According to the latest report by the Polish Wind Energy Association, the Baltic Sea basin in Poland can accommodate up to 33 GW of offshore wind capacity. In accordance with the assumptions outlined in the Polish Energy Policy, renewable energy sources will contribute to over 50% of Poland's electricity generation by 2040. Furthermore, the installed capacity of offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea is expected to reach 18 GW within the same timeframe. The demand for offshore wind development in Poland is bolstered by supportive public policies and the exceptional site conditions offered by the Baltic Sea. The offshore industry holds immense potential for delivering substantial benefits to the national energy system and driving economic and social progress within regional communities. This includes the creation of new employment opportunities, technological advancements, and engagement of the local supply chain.
