Fécamp Offshore Wind Farm

The Fécamp offshore wind farm is the 1st wind farm in Normandy. It was initiated by Skyborn in 2007.

Skyborn, in consortium with EDF Renewables and EIH S.à. r.l, (a subsidiary of Enbridge Inc. and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments)) is proud to have won the 2012 tender for the development, construction and operation of the Fécamp offshore wind farm.

The wind farm was officially commissioned in May 2024. The wind farm now supplies clean, green energy to more than 350,000 households (equivalent to 770,00 people).

2007

  • Starting point for local consultations with stakeholders, environmental & professional organizations.

2007 - 2011

  • Creation of a local consultation committee, in charge defining the most accepted project. Launch technical & environmental studies.

2011 & 2012

  • Launch of the call for tender phase by French state. In 2012, the consortium formed by EDF Renewables, EIH (Enbridge & CPP Investments) and Skyborn is awarded. 2013: Public debate.

2013

  • Public debate.

2014

  • Permit application to the relevant authorities.

2015

  • Installation of the measuring wind mast and approval from Public Debate Commission for Fécamp offshore farm.
