Skyborn Renewables North America LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Skyborn Renewables, an accomplished offshore wind developer and operator with more than 20 years’ experience and capabilities along the entire offshore wind value chain, including greenfield development, engineering and design, procurement, financing, commercialization / corporate power purchase agreements, construction management, operations and asset management.

Renewable energy and especially offshore wind play a major role in achieving net zero emission targets.

In fact, the U.S. has competitive offshore wind resources, and the industry could bring significant benefits to the national energy system as well as economic and social benefits to regional communities through opening up new employment opportunities and technological developments. It can also leverage existing skills of abundant oil and gas professionals in the region. Atlantic U.S. Coast is a maturing market with promising long-term prospects, while other areas of the U.S. are developing into potential new markets.

Moreover, local economies will benefit throughout the project through our various consultations and collaboration with communities and local partners to ensure that local requirements and needs are met.

Partnering

In North America, Skyborn is actively seeking partnerships and acquisitions in the offshore wind sector. We are open to collaborating with developers, energy distribution companies, transmission companies, and other industry players.

    Projects

    Currently, Skyborn is engaged in two offshore projects in the US. Our activities are characterised by commitment, development and a long-term approach. Our goal is to work with authorities, political decision makers, the business community, partners and local residents to implement profitable and sustainable projects that supply the United States with clean and affordable energy from offshore wind.

      • Project Revolution Wind

        Revolution Wind is a 704 MW offshore wind farm that will interconnect in Rhode Island and serve that state as well as Connecticut. The project is under construction and estimated to be operational in 2026. It is contracted under 20-year PPAs with Connecticut Light & Power (Eversource), United Illuminating (Avangrid) and Rhode Island Energy (PPL) and is expected to play a pivotal role in helping Rhode Island and Connecticut meet their clean energy goals.

      • Project South Fork Wind

        South Fork Wind is a 132 MW offshore wind farm located off the coast of Montauk Point, New York. The project began delivering power in 2024. South Fork Wind project is fully contracted under a 20-year PPA with Long Island Power Authority and isthe first offshore wind farm to serve the state of New York.
