William Gutterman was announced as Chief Investment Officer (CINO) of Skyborn Renewables (Skyborn) in May 2023.

He joins Skyborn from Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), one of the world’s leading infrastructure investment managers, where he served as a Principal on the investment team. William Gutterman joined GIP in 2013, with a focus on originating, evaluating and executing investments in the electricity sector. His expertise centers on power, utilities and renewables, with an emphasis on investing into the energy transition.

His experience includes working on GIP’s investments in Guacolda Energia, Competitive Power Ventures and Clearway Energy. In 2022, he helped lead GIP’s New York Bight Offshore Wind investment (now known as Bluepoint Wind), representing the firm’s first investment in the growing offshore wind sector, a critical element of advancing US federal decarbonization initiatives.

William Gutterman began his career as an Analyst in the Global Energy & Power Group at Citigroup, with an emphasis on Mergers & Acquisitions in the Power and Utilities industries. He holds a B.A. in History and Economics from the University of Miami, USA.
