Before joining Skyborn, Ulrike Sedelmaier was Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Amedes Medizinische Dienstleistungen GmbH, a role she has held since November 2017. She has wide range of experience in both strategic and operational areas as well as restructuring.

Ulrike brings over 20 years of HR leadership experience across global organisations, with a focus on the medical and life sciences industry. Prior to Amedes, she served as Vice President Global HR Operations and Functions at BSN Medical, where she acted as a global HR business partner to three board members and successfully implemented global talent initiatives and restructuring projects during the company’s transition from EQT ownership to acquisition by Essity.

Earlier in her career, Ulrike held senior HR roles at Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices, Cognis (a former Goldman Sachs and Permira portfolio company), and Kühne & Nagel. Her focus has consistently been on leading HR transformation programs, building high-performing teams, and aligning HR strategies with business goals—often in the context of M&A, integrations, and change management.

Ulrike holds a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Hamburg, graduating among the top 10% of her class. She has completed extensive executive training and is a certified mediator. Known for her empathetic leadership, strategic drive, and ability to deliver tangible results, she is a trusted partner to executive teams navigating growth, transformation, and workforce engagement.
