Morten Melin has been Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Skyborn Renewables (Skyborn) since November 2022.

He is a trained machinist and studied Mechanical Engineering at Aarhus Teknikum in Denmark. After receiving his engineering degree andgaining substantial professional experience Morten Melin participated in the Corporate and Project FinanceProgramme at London Business School, as well as Executive Leadership Programme from Insead. 

Prior to joining Skyborn Morten Melin served as Executive Vice President Construction, Northland Power from 2017 to 2022. From 2011 to 2017 he worked for DONG Energy Wind Power where he served as Vice President EPC & Construction Management. 

Morten Melin also served in various senior level positions at Vestas, amongst others as Vice President Project and Technology at Vestas offshore and has been running his own business as trainer in Project Execution and supported Vattenfall on the Alpha Ventus and Dantysk Offshore Wind Farms.

Morten Melin has gained 26 years of Project execution and 24 years of renewable experiences and has been involved in more than 30 offshore wind farm projects at executive level, and has extensive experience and building and growing strong execution teams with a strong Health and Safety culture.
